Follow your heart

The reason why so many people are unhappy in this world is because they have refused to listen to their heart. Why don't people just follow the voice inside them that tells them to go after their dreams? If more people took the time to listen there would be a lot more happy people in the world. Don't you agree?
Have you ever noticed how when you go on vacation anywhere, people are happy living off the land and just make their living doing what they love. They aren't caught up in the same hectic fast paced lifestyle we are living.
When we are children we can almost visualize what we want to be when we grow up. Why is it then that only some of us follow that dream? Like the stages of a butterfly, we grow, we change, we learn and then we fly. Some people though never seem to get off the ground. Why is that? It is because they are not doing what they really love. They are not passionate about what they are creating, selling or doing. All of us are born with an innate talent or two, we just have to tap into it that's all. If you don't take action on what you really think you're truly capable of you'll never really know if you could have.
Why don't we take chances? What are we really afraid of anyway? Are we that afraid to fail? Isn't it better to take a chance and prove to yourself that you really can do it? Or just get on the path? Then it is to not try at all and always live you life wondering?
Why isn't the monarch afraid to fly? The answer is because the butterfly knows that flying is what he is born to do. The nectar and the long flight to Mexico is part of the process. So what are we born to do? Once we figure it out then maybe we'll be content.

Bonnie-

You posed a lot of great questions in this posting, it really makes you think about life and the choices you make and how you truely have a choice in what makes you happy. I see that the butterfly is mentioned in your posting as well as placing a picture of a butterfly, did you do this on purpose? Was there something about the butterfly that made you write this piece? I think its a great tie in to your piece and if you want to use this piece and revise maybe you want that connection to become more clear.
